Trebukhov S.A., after graduating from the Metallurgical Faculty of the K.I. Satpayev Kazakh National Technical University with a degree in Physico-chemical Research of Metallurgical Processes (currently Satbayev University), joined the laboratory of vacuum Processes "The Institute of Metallurgy and Ore Beneficiation". In November 2001, he defended his Candidate of Technical Science (PhD) thesis on speciality 05.16.02 "Metallurgy of ferrous, non-ferrous and rare metals" on the topic: "Vacuum-thermal extraction of mercury from technogenic raw materials". In 2016, he was awarded the academic title of "Associate Professor (Associate Professor)", and in 2022 the academic title of "Professor". The sphere of scientific interests of Trebukhov S.A. is the study of thermodynamic regularities of the processes of evaporation, thermal decomposition, condensation of vapours of metals, sulfides, and metal arsenides at low pressure (in vacuum); development of vacuum-thermal technologies and equipment for processing complex polymetallic natural and man-made raw materials of non-ferrous metallurgy; creation of vacuum-distillation methods and equipment for obtaining metals of high purity.
