PhD in Environmental Sciences, about 15 years teaching and research experience. Currently on ex-Pakistan leave from the Department of Environmental Sciences, COMSATS University Islamabad, Abbottabad Campus, Pakistan. Dr. Khan has published around 30 publications, both articles in peer-reviewed international journals, short articles in popular-scientific journals and international conferences. One of research article is most cited research publication for the year 2012 published in Chemical Engineering Journal. Dr. Khan is also serving as section editor for " Journal of Multidisciplinary Applied Natural Science" and reviewer of other prestigous journals. Teaching includes Chemistry, Environmental Chemistry, Nanomaterials in Environmental Science, Analytical Chemistry, Separation process, Heat Transfer and Research Methodology at graduate and undergraduate level. Principal research interests are in the field of material synthesis, characterization, and application for waste treatment (air and water purification). Most recent research work was on photocatalysis, ionic liquid synthesis, photocatalytic degradation of azo dyes, pesticides, and persistent antibiotics in wastewaters. The future research ambitions are to further develop current research work, analytical and technical abilities in a challenging environment where growth, initiative, attention to detail and improvement are valued and encouraged; an environment that empowers to deliver outcomes. These ambitions are supported by an excellent understanding of the academia and research which affect it whilst maintaining the highest standards.
