Dr. Aulina Adamy, MSc had experience teaching in Graduate Programme at a private university in West Sumatera before joining University of Muhammadiyah Aceh (UNMUHA) since 2015. Her current role is the Head of Faculty Research Center (FRC) of Public Health in addition as lecturer in Faculty of Public Heath and Faculty of Engineering. She is active in various organizations and current position as the chairman of international relations for Institute for Democracy, Politic, and Human Rights (INDEPTH) Indonesia, an organization based in Jakarta. Previously, she has also served as director of YEH - an Indonesian NGO that provides free education for street children. She also has been involved in various activities on women empowerment and children protection at the National Commission for Women (KOMNAS Perempuan), Institut Ungu, Ratna Sarumpaet Crisis Center, and Komite Independen Pemantau Pemilu (KIPP) Indonesia. In the last ten years she worked in several Asian countries through ANFREL (the Asian Network for Free Elections) Foundation that is based in Bangkok, Thailand. Her research experience started while working as research assistant at the University of Science of Malaysia (USM) for more than three years after finishing her PhD in Sustainable Construction by fellowship in the same university. Professionally, she has worked in national institutions such as the Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Agency (BRR) for Aceh and Nias Island, consultancy team for the Governor of Aceh between 2011 – 2012, as well as in international institutions such as the UNDP and the American Red Cross. In the last few years, her research focus on upgrading the quality of hospital building in-line with promoting disaster resilience in Aceh.
