Dr. Caballes is a Cum Laude graduate of Philippine Normal University with the degree of Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in General Science and an alumnus of De La Salle University Manila from Master’s up to Doctorate level with the degree Master of Arts in Teaching Major in General Science and Doctor of Philosophy in Science Education Major in Biology respectively. He is the former Chairperson and Faculty of Chemistry and Life Sciences Department, Researcher, Statistician and Laboratory Chairman of the Manila Doctors College (now Manila Tytana Colleges). Dr. Caballes was a recipient of Sen. Angara and Sen. Roco Scholarships during his college years and a full scholar of DLSU-Manila in his graduate studies. He is likewise a Licensed Professional Teacher and a Civil Service Certified Eligible. Furthermore, he is active in both local and international conferences/conventions in science education as a paper presenter and as a participant. He has presented his research works in Penang, Malaysia and Chanthaburi, Thailand and was likewise invited in many regional and local conventions to serve as a plenary speaker and as a facilitator in academic gatherings. He has written several educational and scientific researches (both published and unpublished) and has developed modules, instructional materials, and books in physical and biological sciences for tertiary level and basic education. He has also published research-based book in Germany which focuses on alternative conceptions and conceptual change in biology education. In addition, he is an active member of various professional organizations and is connected with various universities as a teacher and as a research and statistics consultant. Dr. Caballes is considered one of the youngest PhD degree holders in the country for he obtained his doctorate at the age of 26 and has earned units in his second doctorate in public health (DrPH) in UP Manila major in Health Promotion and Education. He completed his Post-Doctoral Course in Total Quality Management in Higher Education at Centro Escolar University Manila and was conferred as a Fellow in Royal Institution, Singapore. He also serves as one of the content editors in science books of Phoenix Publishing House, Inc. and SIBS Publishing House, Inc. and a book writer, editor, consultant, and coordinator in Science and Mathematics under Mutya Publishing House, Inc., Golden Cronica Publishing Inc., JFS Publishing Services, and Book Publisher International as well as a reviewer-lecturer in National Medical Admission Test and Licensure Examination for Teachers in various recognized review centers and institutions. Dr. Caballes was nominated in NRCP Achievement Award for 2019 and 2020 under Division I.
