Md Moksedul Momin is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Genetics and Animal Breeding at Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU) since July 2017 and earlier he joined as a Lecturer in the same department in April 2015. He graduated from CVASU (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) and Master of Science (MS) in Animal Breeding and Genetics) in 2011 and 2014, respectively. Currently, Mr. Momin is pursuing his Ph.D. in Statistical Genetics at the University of South Australia (UniSA), Australia. His research interests include quantitative genetics, statistical genetics, and genomic prediction of complex traits/diseases in humans and animals. As a part of his Ph.D. research, he has so far developed a novel method for dissecting cross-ancestry genetic architecture and an R-package (named r2redux) for testing the significant differences between two dependent and/or independent polygenic score (PGS)/polygenic risk score (PRS)/breeding value (BV).
