M. Dody Izhar is a senior lecturer and researcher at the Department of Epidemiology, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FMHS), Universitas Jambi (UNJA) in Indonesia. Dody is an epidemiologist with additional training in Field Epidemiology and Risk Management. His research interests are in social epidemiology, public health surveillance, control of infectious diseases, including tuberculosis, pneumonia and dengue fever, in particular understanding social dynamics related to disease risk, disease prevention and immunization, and research on the implementation of health-related quality of life. Currently serves as Head of Education, Training and Human Resources Development at The Indonesian Public Health Union in Jambi Province, and member of The Indonesian Epidemiology Association.
