Dr. Md. Abdur Razzak Choudhury was born on 26 October 1974 in a Muslim family of Gaibandha district, Bangladesh. He completed B. Sc. Ag. (Hons.) degree from Sher-E-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka, Bangladesh in 1996. He secured MS in Entomology from Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU), Mymensingh, Bangladesh and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Entomology from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University (BSMRAU), Gazipur, Bangladesh in 2002 and 2016, respectively. He awarded National Science and Technology (NST) fellowship of the Ministry of Science and Technology of the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh for his PhD program. Dr. Choudhury started his professional career as a Research Associate (Entomologist) in the Division of Entomology, Bangladesh Rice Research Institute (BRRI) on August 10, 2002. At present, he is working as an Associate Professor, Department of Entomology, Faculty of Agriculture, Sylhet Agricultural University, Sylhet, Bangladesh.
