Ahmad Harakan is a Lecturer in the Department of Government Studies, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar, Indonesia. His research interests include the world economy, global governance, paradiplomacy, security and defense issues, and political economy. He has published in numerous international journals and book chapters. He is currently the Chairman of the Pusat Penelitian Ilmu Sosial dan Humaniora Kontemporer, Indonesia. Additionally, he serves as the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Contemporary Governance and Public Policy.
