Ahmad Harakan is an Associate Professor at the Department of Government Studies, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar, Indonesia. His research interests are on Paradiplomacy, Security and Defense Issues, Political Economy and published in many international journal and Book Chapter. He is currently the Head of Department of Government Studies, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar, Indonesia and the Chairman in Pusat Penelitian Ilmu Sosial and Humaniora Kontemporer, Indonesia. He is also the Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Contemporary Governance and Public Policy, and the Guest Editor of International Journal of Sustainable Society.
