Katrin Sak, MSc, PhD, Dip.Nut.Med (born in 1975 in Viljandi, Estonia) is a biochemist working in the field of anticancer action of plant polyphenols, flavonoids. She is the author of eight monographs/handbooks/textbooks (seven in English), numerous chapters in the edited collections and more than 130 scientific articles published in international peer-reviewed journals. Her most important works are the monograph "Plant Flavonoids against Metastasis: New Concepts for Cancer Treatment" (2021), the trilogy about interactions of plant flavonoids with traditional cancer treatment modalities {"Plant Flavonoids Affect Cancer Chemotherapeutic Efficacy: A Handbook for Doctors and Patients" (2019), "Dietary Flavonoids Interfere with Cancer Radiotherapy" (2019), "How Plant Flavonoids Affect the Outcome of Hormonal and Biological Cancer Therapies: A Handbook for Doctors and Patients" (2022)}, and the university textbook "Fundamentals of Flavonoids and Their Health Benefits.
