Since 2012 I have started my research journey in studying Indonesian migrant workers. This journey continues with my undergraduate thesis on migrant workers from the perspective of the Indonesian government which finally ratified the International Convention on the Protection of Migrant Workers Rights in 2012 after an eight-year waiting period. Taking a Masters course, I remain on the path of research on migrant workers, while studying Politics Science in 2014-2016, I am interested with thesis topic on Indonesian migrant workers from South Sulawesi in Malaysia and while studying Law in 2015-2017, I am studying migrant workers Indonesia in terms of the relationship between international law and Indonesian national law. I am currently completing a book documenting my 7 years research journey (2012-2019) in a book entitled Indonesian Migrant Workers: A Multidisciplinary Study that plans to be published soon. I am still very excited to continue my studies to the PhD level which is currently in the stage preparation with the plan to take the same topic on Indonesian migrant workers in the perspective of public policy. In addition, I am also developing a network within the Indonesian Migrant Worker Research Group under Research and Development Center, Association of Indonesian Bachelor in International Relations.
